The Sonic Babylon Sound Gardens in Australia make use of sound samples from several archived databases beyond our own. These include the collaborative Freesound Project, a collection of 70,000+ sounds licensed under the Creative Commons Sampling Plus 1.0 license, and the National Film and Sound Archive's Sounds of Australia collection, an ever-growing group of iconic sound recordings (used by permission). Sounds from Eco Sonus, a site specific sound installation commissioned for the 2009 Floating Land festival, are used by permission of Australian composer and sound artist Leah Barclay. As each garden opens, the name and location of the garden, the length of time the garden is in operation, and the attribution for each file used in the initial planting are indicated below.
